At Irkutsk airport were held comprehensive emergency training exercises by flight search and rescue service. The theme of the exercises was "Extinguishing of the conventional fire on the aircraft that was distressed in the responsibility area of JSC" International Irkutsk Airport. "
According to "legend" the aircraft broadcasted distress signal and should make an emergency landing at Irkutsk airport in 30 minutes. In accordance with the "Emergency plan" was assembled emergency rescue team of the enterprise on an alarm signal. Parallel were notified cooperating organizations, forces and facilities which arrived in Irkutsk airport and were deployed in the vicinity of the runway before landing. The aircraft made an emergency landing, and it was resulted a fire. The first, who started to extinguish the fire, was fire rescue team of departmental fire protection service of JSC " Irkutsk International Airport."
Then State Fire-Fighting Service Detachment teams of Emergencies Ministry joined to them. After the flame bases liquidation passengers and crew members were evacuated from the aircraft. First aid to injured persons was provided by teams of Irkutsk airport medical service, the ambulance of the city, the territorial center of emergency medicine. "Injured persons" were sent to hospitals of the city.
The result of exercises is that all assigned tasks for search and rescue services were performed. It was planned further joint work on identified deficiencies liquidation and improvement of flight firefighting and rescue support in Irkutsk airport.
