Reconstruction of the domestic terminal building of JSC "International Airport Irkutsk" is completed

The second stage of reconstruction in domestic terminal building is completed in Irkutsk Airport. It included the building of a four-storey complex, adjacent to the main, two-storey terminal building. Its ceremonial presentation was held today, on the 16th of November. As a result, the terminal area increased by 3,000 sqm. There are the airlines representative offices, one room for mother and child (previously it was only in the international terminal building, that made a number of inconveniences for passengers), rooms for the VIP-passengers and officials.
On the fourth floor is located the sanctum sanctorum of the airport, its "heart" - operation and dispatch service, and the training center of the company, (based on it will be held additional training for the airport staff). Today we can safely say that all areas of the domestic terminal building meet the needs of the age.
Let us recall that the first stage of reconstruction in domestic terminal building was completed in April 2009, as a result - the terminal area was doubled, and its productive capacity was increased twice (the building was equipped with new equipment: introscopes, check-in desks, metal detectors, baggage handling system.) The total cost of the first stage of reconstruction was 567 million rubles.
Works on the second stage of reconstruction were held from 2008 till November 2011. The cost of the works amounted to more than 200 million rubles from the own funds of JSC "International Airport Irkutsk."
